Ortega-Moreno House

The Ortega-Moreno house is located in the Urbanization of Agridulce, next to the Espinardo campus of the University of Murcia, in a residential area.

Is a home designed for a young copule and their two children.

The plot has a unevenness of 3m. The unevenness has been the cornerstone of the project, adapting the different spaces of the housing to the diferent leves of the plot.

The project develops the housing in such a way that daily life is carried out on a single floor without steps and with access to the porch and swimming pool on the same floor. Leaving the semi-basement for the garage, storage room, manual work space and facilities room, as well as adapting to the ground leves it is possible to have a minimum ramp slope for the access of vehicles and an external exit area at the level of the storage room to facilitate its use.

As usual, in our projets there is still a great link between the outdoor spaces and the different interior rooms.

The whole house has a free height, higher than the standard, having in the rooms and living-dining-kitchen 3 m of free height.

This higher free height along with the inner courtyard and the study of hollow openings priming the East and South orientations and avoiding the West orientation, allows us to have a housing with energy classification A of carbon dioxide emissions.
